I
started this blog because it was a requirement for my class, but I’ve found a
passion. I’m not passionate about a lot of things, but blogging is now one of
my favorite things. I have a lot to say, and what better way to say it?

A personal statement that communicates how you wish to be known.
I am a loyal mother, partner, daughter, sister, friend and soldier. I’ve worked hard to earn everything I have. I don’t forget or forgive, and I have patience. I have learned to delay gratification for as long as it takes to get better results.
One communication technology that I would like to see in the future.
I would like to see a more interactive version of Facebook that integrates hardware and software to place users in each other’s virtual reality. Facebook helps families who are far apart to stay in touch

Hello Everyone
My name is Wensdaille Nelson, I am 28 years old, and currently in
the United State Army Reserve; I live in Miami Florida. I am a mother; I have
two years old and four months old. I work for the Department of Children and
Family as a case worker; I process the Food-stamp, Medicaid and Cash cases for
the state of Florida. I have an Associate Degree in Special Education from
Miami Dade College. I am currently pursuing a Communication Degree at Kaplan
University. I have been thinking about a Master of Arts in Global Governance at
Florida International University or a Master of Arts in Child Protection at
Nova University, I am not sure yet.
I have started exercising, I run at least three times a week, and I
lift weight five times a week. I want to be a body builder.
My experience as a Kaplan University student
My
Experience as a Kaplan Student
My experience at Kaplan University has been a rollercoaster. I
have been lied to by the Financial Aid, and Student Advisement departments. I
have been unfairly targeted by a Professor because I questioned a statement she
made during the first week of class. When I asked my academic advisor to be
transferred from her class, I was told that I was beyond the 3rd unit
and could not be transferred, which I found out was a lie. After that term, I
registered for three classes; I attended my classes and started my term then I
was dropped out of a class. When I asked why, I was told when a student drops
below the 3.0 grade point average they are no longer allowed to take three or more classes at a time;
later on I also found out that also, was a lie. I honestly believe that same
professor was the cause I was dropped out from the course.
As
a Kaplan student I have developed my communication skills necessary for aspects
of my life, either professional or social. I attended Kaplan to acquire the
ability to communicate information accurately, clearly and as intended. In
today’s society, people need more knowledge and skills to be adapted and I have
acquired those. I have learned how to better use social
Media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to help me keep in touch
with those I choose to after graduating for Kaplan University.
Thank you and have a great day.

A tip for choosing a theme:
Selecting
a good theme is like selecting a good product. When designing the theme of a
blog consider which features best fit your blog; first, decide your page width,
spacing, and layout.
As
I was designing the theme for my blog, I had a hard time designing something
that I like and represents the topic for my blog. I wanted something beautiful
and it had to enhance the content of my blog. When designing the theme of a
blog consider your blog content. Consider which feature best fit your blog, by
first deciding your site width, spacing, and layout. When choosing a theme, if
you do not like it at first sight, don not pick. Selecting a good theme is like
selecting a good product. Must consider, if you are willing to pay for your
theme or not. Make sure you read and understand the user’s licensing agreement.
Consider using a premade theme framework with a built in portfolio page because
it is easier to use; user friendly. Consider how many other sites may have the
same or similar theme. Pay attention to content hierarchy and what drops and
where; does it handle videos, is the layout clean and simple.
A tip for designing a blog:
If
you want your audience to stop and read anything you write and pay attention to
what you have to say, your blog must make a good first impression.
I
have learned that if you want your audience to stop and read anything you write
and pay attention to what you have to say, your blog must make a good first
impression. The same goes for your blog. The blog must be easy to navigate,
informative, entertaining, and useful. Content should be well organize and
understandable. You should not make your readers have to put in effort to
navigate and or understand what you are saying. Your website should at least include
a search box, menu, and an about page. You must have pictures that are relevant
to your topic. Your website must load quickly; therefore limit the material on
the post. Keep your site updated; visitors will leave your site quickly if it
appears to be outdated. Make your site mobile because more people are browsing
the web using their phones, tablets, and other electronic devices.
